Today, I got to use a word that I learnt from reading about scrabble in a real life conversation.
“It was written by an unknown muzjik.”
While discussing The Way of a Pilgrim with a friend, they asked who wrote it, and the answered involved the word!
Muzjiks = 128 points on a first move. (Highest possible)
39(letters [due to doubling a letter on the board) x 2(double word score) + 50 (bingo) = ridiculous move
I was pretty proud of myself for being ready to bust that one out; I probably came off pretty pretentious since even the book just calls him/her a “Russian Peasant,” and I have to go as far as using muzjik.
I hope you’re all now filled with the same joy I found in this.
Michael
